I while back I started using a gelatine mask for my hair.
The gelatin I’m using is 100% pure powder from cow-skin. So it’s not vegan but it really worked for me. It was very easy to make and easy to rinse out with water. My hair felt stronger (thanks to all the protein gelatin contains) after using it and my hair lengths were sooooo soft. The only thing I didn’t like about it was the smell. But the smell was gone after rinsing out the mask with water only.
What did I use for this mask?:
• A glass
• Gelatin 100% pure powder (from Holland & Barett)
• Spoon or fork
• Warm water
Before I got into the shower I prepared the mask. I added one tablespoon gelatin and six tablespoons warm water. Mix the ingredients with a spoon or fork in the glass. I used a small glass so my hair would be able to reach the bottom of the glass (I literally dipped my hair into the glass to apply the mask haha). After preparing the mask I got into the shower and washed my hair as usual. After that (the gelatin will be thicker by now) I applied the mask by dipping my hair all into the glass. I haven’t used it on my scalp because my scalp looks greasy super fast and I have enough natural oils on my scalp. I let it sit for 15 minutes and rinsed it very well with warm water. After rinsing it out I rinsed my hair with cold water. I let air dry and…. super smooth and strong hair!!! Out of all the hair masks I’ve tried, I’d recommend this one. I really loved it. Just one thing: don’t use it too often! Too much protein is also bad for your hair. I’m currently using it once a month. Please leave a comment if you have any questions!
